Learning in Action & Artwork Highlights
Create Your Own Circus Clown
The children enjoyed creating their own circus clowns using paper plates, construction paper, pom-poms, googly eyes, markers, and glue. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, self-expression, fine motor development, color and shape recognition, following directions, and independent decision-making. Each child created a unique clown while proudly expressing their individual ideas.
Circus Elephant Painting
The children participated in a colorful Circus Elephant Painting activity. They used paintbrushes and a variety of bright colors to decorate their elephants while practicing staying within the outlines and exploring how colors blend together. The activity supported fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, creativity, color recognition, focus, and following directions.
Each finished elephant reflects the child’s individual choices and creativity, creating a vibrant classroom display that celebrates their hard work and artistic expression.
Classroom Learning & Creativity
Letter V Flowers
The children participated in a creative Letter V Flower activity to strengthen their letter recognition and early literacy skills. Each child decorated the letter V with colorful flowers and stems, creating a fun visual connection between the letter and their artwork.
This hands-on activity supported fine motor development, letter recognition, color identification, creativity, and following directions as the children arranged and attached the flower pieces. Displaying their finished Letter V creations provides an engaging way to reinforce alphabet learning while celebrating each child’s creativity and hard work.
It's Football Season
Football Brainstorming Activity
The children participated in a group discussion about football and shared their individual thoughts and observations. As the teacher recorded their responses around a football drawing, the children identified characteristics such as the football’s color, shape, texture, markings, and how it is used.
This activity encouraged language development, critical thinking, observation skills, vocabulary, and turn-taking. The children were given opportunities to express their own ideas while listening to the thoughts of their classmates. The activity also demonstrated how a familiar topic like football can be used to promote meaningful conversation and active participation in the classroom.💧 Pre-K Spotlight: Water Drop Activity

Parent Reminders
Thank you for being a valued part of the Magic Moments family! Please take a moment to review these important reminders as we head into the summer season.
Voucher & Tuition Accounts
Please ensure your Child Care Scholarship attendance verification is completed on time each month to avoid service interruptions. Families are responsible for monitoring voucher renewal dates and submitting any required documentation promptly.
Late Pickup & Co-Pay Reminders
To avoid additional fees, please ensure tuition balances and co-payments are paid by their due dates. We also ask that children be picked up on time according to your scheduled hours of care.
Keep Your Information Current
Summer is a common time for families to move or change contact information. If you have a new address, phone number, email address, emergency contact, or employer information, please notify the office immediately so we can maintain accurate records.
A Cozy Corner for Our Little Learners
Our classroom Cozy Corner is a special space designed to help children feel calm, comfortable, and supported throughout their day. Filled with soft textures, positive affirmations, books, and encouraging messages, this welcoming area gives children a place to relax, enjoy quiet reading, and practice self-regulation.
It’s a gentle reminder that at Magic Moments, creating a nurturing learning environment means supporting both growing minds and growing emotions.
At Magic Moments Early Learning Center, we are committed to supporting families who participate in the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Child Care Scholarship Program. This program provides essential financial assistance for childcare; however, it requires active and consistent participation from families to remain in good standing.
In recent months, the state has implemented more stringent policies regarding voucher compliance and reinstatement. Once a scholarship (voucher) is terminated, it has become increasingly difficult—and in some cases not possible—to have it reinstated. For this reason, it is critical that all families understand and fulfill their responsibilities.
Parent Responsibilities for Maintaining Your Voucher
To ensure uninterrupted childcare coverage, families must:
Complete Attendance Verification
Parents are required to verify their child’s attendance every two (2) weeks through the state’s system. Failure to do so may result in payment delays or voucher termination.Maintain Accurate Case Information
All personal information (employment, school status, address, etc.) must be kept current and up to date with MSDE. Changes must be reported promptly.Submit Required Documentation on Time
Redetermination forms, employment verification, and any requested documents must be submitted by the stated deadlines to avoid disruption in benefits.Respond to MSDE Communications
Families must promptly respond to emails, phone calls, or notices from MSDE regarding their case.Ensure Co-Payments Are Paid
If a co-payment is assigned, it must be paid consistently and on time to maintain enrollment.
Important Notice Regarding Terminations
Please be advised:
If your voucher is terminated due to non-compliance, you may be responsible for full tuition costs during any lapse in coverage.
Reinstatement is no longer guaranteed and may require a full reapplication process.
The center is not responsible for covering unpaid balances due to voucher termination.
Our Commitment to You
Magic Moments will:
Provide reminders regarding attendance verification when possible
Assist with general guidance on maintaining compliance
Communicate any known issues affecting your child’s funding
However, ultimate responsibility lies with the parent/guardian to ensure all requirements are met.
Labor Day Closure
In observance of Labor Day, all Magic Moments Early Learning Center locations will be closed on Monday, September 7th. We hope our families and staff enjoy a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved holiday with their loved ones.
We will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, September 8th and look forward to welcoming everyone back!
