Introducing Our New Cozy Corner

We're excited to unveil our brand-new Cozy Corner: a comfortable reading space created to encourage a love of books, spark imagination, and give children a quiet place to relax, explore, and learn.

Stocked with engaging stories, colorful books, and cozy seating, this special area invites children to enjoy independent reading, participate in story time, and share books with friends. 🌟 Creating, Learning & Growing Every Day

Each day at Magic Moments Early Learning Center is filled with opportunities for our children to learn, create, explore, and grow. Throughout the month, our classrooms were buzzing with hands-on activities that encouraged creativity, curiosity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

From creating colorful artwork and exploring new materials to building fine motor skills and expressing themselves through imaginative play, our children embraced every opportunity to discover something new. These meaningful experiences help foster confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

We are so proud of all that our little learners have accomplished this month and can't wait to see what they'll create next! šŸ’™šŸŽØšŸ“š

šŸ’§ Pre-K Spotlight: Water Drop Activity

Our Pre-K children had a wonderful time exploring the importance of water through a fun and creative Water Drop Activity. Using markers to decorate their own unique water drops, they expressed their creativity while strengthening fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

As they worked together, children practiced following directions, sharing materials, and participating in meaningful discussions about the many ways water is used in our everyday lives. This engaging activity encouraged curiosity, supported language and cognitive development, and helped children build important social-emotional skills through collaborative learning. It was a fun way to combine creativity with real-world learning while reinforcing the value of one of our most important natural resources. šŸ’™šŸ’§

😊 Happy Faces, Bright Hearts

Helping children understand and express their emotions is an important part of early learning. During this engaging activity, children created cheerful self-portraits and participated in emotion-sorting exercises, giving them the opportunity to explore different feelings while expressing their own unique personalities.

As they colored, discussed emotions, and shared with their classmates, they strengthened fine motor skills, creativity, language development, and emotional awareness. Activities like these encourage self-confidence, build positive social interactions, and help children develop the skills needed to recognize, communicate, and manage their emotions in healthy ways. Every smile, conversation, and creative masterpiece is another step toward building compassionate, confident, and emotionally aware learners. šŸ’›šŸ˜Š

šŸ•µļø Summer Camp Spotlight: Secret Agent Academy

Our Summer Camp campers put their detective skills to the test during our exciting Secret Agent Academy: Spy Maps activity! Using their creativity and imagination, campers designed their own spy maps, planned secret missions, and worked through challenges like real undercover agents.

As they created their maps, campers strengthened problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and spatial awareness while practicing communication and teamwork. This hands-on activity encouraged children to think outside the box, follow clues, and build confidence as they completed their special missions.

MSDE Scholarship (Voucher) Management –

Important Parent Responsibilities

At Magic Moments Early Learning Center, we are committed to supporting families who participate in the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Child Care Scholarship Program. This program provides essential financial assistance for childcare; however, it requires active and consistent participation from families to remain in good standing.

In recent months, the state has implemented more stringent policies regarding voucher compliance and reinstatement. Once a scholarship (voucher) is terminated, it has become increasingly difficult—and in some cases not possible—to have it reinstated. For this reason, it is critical that all families understand and fulfill their responsibilities.

Parent Responsibilities for Maintaining Your Voucher

To ensure uninterrupted childcare coverage, families must:

  • Complete Attendance Verification
Parents are required to verify their child’s attendance every two (2) weeks through the state’s system. Failure to do so may result in payment delays or voucher termination.

  • Maintain Accurate Case Information
All personal information (employment, school status, address, etc.) must be kept current and up to date with MSDE. Changes must be reported promptly.

  • Submit Required Documentation on Time
Redetermination forms, employment verification, and any requested documents must be submitted by the stated deadlines to avoid disruption in benefits.

  • Respond to MSDE Communications
Families must promptly respond to emails, phone calls, or notices from MSDE regarding their case.

  • Ensure Co-Payments Are Paid
If a co-payment is assigned, it must be paid consistently and on time to maintain enrollment.

Important Notice Regarding Terminations

Please be advised:

  • If your voucher is terminated due to non-compliance, you may be responsible for full tuition costs during any lapse in coverage.

  • Reinstatement is no longer guaranteed and may require a full reapplication process.

  • The center is not responsible for covering unpaid balances due to voucher termination.

Our Commitment to You

Magic Moments will:

  • Provide reminders regarding attendance verification when possible

  • Assist with general guidance on maintaining compliance

  • Communicate any known issues affecting your child’s funding

However, ultimate responsibility lies with the parent/guardian to ensure all requirements are met.
